chip: no blog...I crossed over to livejournal land. I rarely write so more than one thing is extraneous.
if I had any writing ability at all, you would know that that was nothing at all like the matrix. [in my brain]
unfortunately...
just for the record, though:
my original intention was to introduce a competing 'group' that also wishes to 'get to' joe. 'somethingness' to oppose the nothingness. I realized that I was going in an 'action' direction, so I knocked him out. then I decided that the best way for him to find nothing might be if he could see into matter itself to determine what was composed of nothing. that segment got the best of me and I abandoned my part of the story without finishing because I had passed the deadline. the girl was supposed to be a 'something agent.' and he was supposed to get 'saved' by the previous people of the abyss. I hoped to leave it up to the next author to decide which was the good group, etc. I also kinda wanted the story to go one more complete round.
